1948 Schwinn Continental Restomod

It is great fun to build a bike from parts that have, in my case, languished in the workshop for decades. I have been riding and collecting vintage bicycles for forty years now, and I have no idea how, why, or when I acquired this fillet-brazed Schwinn Continental frame, missing the original fork. On a whim, I decided to build. Everything you see on this bike came from my parts bin, save for the new tires and cables. The bombproof Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub shifts perfectly, and the sit-up-and-beg riding position is extremely comfortable. Perhaps I will add some fenders down the line. Consider the tattered graphics "beausage"!
