Sunbeams, built by hand in Sunbeamland, have been called the Rolls-Royce of bicycles. This machine boasts an early Reynolds 531 transfer, and features Resilion Cantilever brakes, high quality BOA pedals, and a flip-flop hub. My friend Peter Jourdain notes: "...back then bicycles (especially Sunbeams) were quite expensive and most did double, triple or quadruple duty: racing (only time trials were legal in the UK in the 1930s), club runs, touring and commuting." As the Sunbeam advertisement below says: "Do not dissipate your energy in pushing a cheap bicycle along the country roads. Ride a Sunbeam and enjoy the scenery."
