Johann Puch founded the first Styrian Bicycle Company in 1899 in Graz, Austria. The head badge on my latest Davenport Motorcycle Swap Meet find, a circa 1948 Styria, reads "Grandahl Sarpsborg," leading me to believe it is probably an Austrian bicycle sold in Norway. The bike languished at last year's swap meet and remained unsold. When it reappeared this year (2023) I renegotiated with the owner and brought it home. The bicycle has some wonderful details, which include the winged fender mascot, drum brake with leather cable, original pinstripes and "Viking" tires.
