The juvenile bicycle you see here was made by The Unique & Unity Cycle Company in Birmingham, England, around a century ago. In this case the transfer on the head tube of the bicycle lives up to its name, for it is unique for a child's bike, with rod brakes, sprung leather saddle, tool bag, and kerosene lamp. It is remarkable that this beautiful little bicycle has somehow survived at least one world war and generations of children.
